Beautiful product packshots for your e-commerce site

The sale of products online is growing rapidly and the need for visual relays has multiplied for digital media.

To take advantage of this reality, companies are developing their websites and social networks, with a strategy based on three main points: making the website attractive, creating a good customer journey, offering a pleasant shopping experience

Used in your marketing strategy, product images and photos that illustrate your website, and respect your graphic charter, are one of the indispensable tools to increase your commercial performance. Professional quality visuals are the most effective way to attract buyers' attention and create desire. You can also add dynamism and modernity with 360° product photos. For example, packshot photographs of wine bottles can reassure customers about the seriousness of the producer and reassure them in their choice by giving them all the information they need before buying.

Which accessories for food photography (e.g. packshot wine bottle) ?

Topshot:
vertical shot

The Topshot takes zenithal views of your products. This accessory is fixed above the ScanCube and allows the camera to be positioned facing the backlit floor, vertically to the objects to be photographed.

Nylon wire suspension

The nylon wire suspension is an essential accessory for shooting objects that need to be held in the air.

Centering laser

ScanCube has developed a centring accessory using a computer-controlled laser that draws a luminous cross over the product.

Lumipod

The Lumipod is our patented system that supports the object to be photographed as if it were levitating. It takes the form of a light column on which you can place the product to be photographed.

customer testimonials

  • Since February 2011, our shop in Forbach has been taking photos of its products with a ScanCube for its website, posters and leaflets.

We took a pragmatic approach and acted as a pilot site to measure the benefits of this new technology, validate its ease of use and its suitability for our business.

Today, the Cora Group has acquired around ten ScanCubes.

  • Photographing a bottle of wine is not an easy task, particularly because of the reflections. ScanCube gave us the technical expertise and ease of use we needed.

The fact that the photos are taken in-house means we can react quickly and carry out the work directly on the stock, without any special logistics.

As for the quality of the photos, I'll leave you to judge them on our website.

  • After an initial experience 5 years ago with a lightbox of another brand, we were hesitant to reinvest in this type of equipment when it broke down. In fact, the photos taken with this lightbox required constant retouching using the skills of a computer graphics artist.

When we saw the Easy-ScanCube software, we were convinced of a quantum leap in quality and a much more sophisticated hardware design. The tests we carried out confirmed this impression, because today, after just a few minutes' training, anyone in the company can produce beautiful images that can be used straight away: with ScanCube equipment, the concept of a mini studio is becoming credible once again.

Today, our group is going to acquire a second ScanCube for another of its subsidiaries.

More about the wine bottle packshot

Every detail of the label must be present in the image.

Photographing products such as reflective objects like glass and metal requires a good knowledge of light. The lighting must be adapted to the subject and its nature. When photographing wine bottles, the bottle and label must be taken into account.

The quality of the paper and its weave, the gilding, the embossing and other reliefs are differentiating elements that are important to find during the photo shoot.

These visuals, with the help of quality camera equipment, must be very sharp, with the creative dimension remaining in the background.

Bottle shape: 2 glass lighting techniques

There are two techniques for lighting the glass to make good photos and avoid unsightly reflections:
- wine on a black background and light lines
- white background and black lines with light box reflection for a dark glass bottle, with black lines for a clear bottle

Precise bottle trimming for easy insertion.

This is one of the recognised features of the Easyscancube software, which allows visuals to be integrated into different communication media.
